Hearing Aid Styles

There is a wide range of hearing aid styles and features – and the selection grows every year. We recommend selecting a style based on your specific hearing challenges and lifestyle. Book a hearing test and our hearing care professionals will help you understand the benefits of various styles.

Invisible Hearing Aid

Invisible hearing aids deliver the same noise-processing technology as other devices but are so tiny that nobody will be able to tell you are wearing them. They also offer an incredibly secure fit making them a good choice for physical activity.

Completely In Canal

Completely-in-the-canal (CIC) hearing aids are one of the least visible hearing aids and are virtually undetectable. These hearing aids are custom molded to fit completely in your ear canal. CIC hearing aids are best for individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss.

Behind The Ear

Behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids fit comfortably behind your ear and are discreetly connected to a mold inside your ear canal. They are less inconspicuous than other hearing aid styles, but they come in various colours and feature external controls for ease and convenience.

Receiver In Canal

Receiver in canal (RIC) hearing aids are worn behind the ear but the receiver and speaker sit in the ear canal. This offers a clearer representation of sound while also reducing the size and weight of the main unit.

In The Canal

In-the-canal (ITC) hearing aids are custom molded to discreetly sit in your ear canal and are only partly visible. They are easy to use, and they pose fewer problems for users who have difficulty handling tiny objects than other styles of hearing aids.

In The Ear

An in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid device fits in the outer ear. They are conspicuous but this also means that they are easy to remove, handle and adjust. This also allows for external controls and larger batteries, adding further convenience and extending the life of the hearing aid device.
